Meet our Planet Protectors
God has entrusted the world to us and we are stewards of His creation. This means that we should be taking responsibility for looking after our world. We have a number of ways that we do this at St Brendan’s but we are always encouraging our school community to look for other opportunities to care even better for our world and then spread the news to others. When each of us makes a little difference, together the impact is huge!
Why do we have Planet Protectors?
Being a Planet Protector is an ideal opportunity for our pupils to get more involved in the way our school is run and help us to be more environmentally friendly. It provides opportunities for pupils to communicate their feelings as well as influence decisions that are made. They take on the responsibility of expressing their own views, but also the views of their peers as well as passing on information from meetings to the whole school. As a Planet Protector, pupils have the opportunity to develop skills such as confidence, communication and negotiation.
