School Meals
At St Brendan’s, we are committed to providing nutritious, balanced meals for our pupils.
Eligibility & Cost
School meals are provided free of charge for:
- Children entitled to Statutory Free School Meals (SFSM)
- All children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2, under the Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) scheme
From September 2025, paid meals for all other pupils will be charged at £2.65 per day.
Starting or Stopping School Meals
If you wish your child to start or stop receiving school meals, please notify the school office with at least one week’s notice.
Payment Options
Payment for school meals must be made in advance via MCAS (MyChildAtSchool). You can choose to pay weekly, half-termly, or termly.

Nut-Free & Healthy School Policy
St Brendan’s is a nut-free school. To help protect children with allergies, we kindly ask that packed lunches do not include any nut products, such as:
- Peanut butter
- Pesto
- Nut-based cereal bars or biscuits
We also ask that fizzy drinks are not brought to school.
As part of our commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles, we promote balanced and nutritious meals for all pupils.
